History

HIP’92 started with its first activities at the end of the year 1991. People who were working for the Youth-service of the community of Opmeer had ideas for organising an international exchange. In the summer of 1992 the first exchange in which HIP participated was organised in our own village Hoogwoud. After 1992 HIP has organised several exchanges in Hoogwoud and also has taken part in several exchanges all over Europe.

Pardoes

The Youth-centre Pardoes is the location where most of the activities are held, the foreign visitors stay with host-families in Hoogwoud and Opmeer. We organise typical activities, such as:  cycling on your own bike through the countryside, mudwalking on the bottom of the sea, a trip to the capital of the Netherlands: Amsterdam and sitting around the fire at the Pardoes. The exchange will be closed with a Coloured Evening.

Erasmus+

The exchanges are financially supported by Erasmus+ for the European Youth for Europe. We also need to finance a part of the exchange activities by ourselves. For this we organise several fundraising activities throughout the year.
